Title: Invitation to Multidisciplinary Research and the Geospatial Science and Technology Center
Abstract:
Dr. Bishop will be presenting multidisciplinary research activities involving Earth Science, remote sensing, geographic information technology, and numerical modeling to address integrative science issues. He will focus on the integrative synergy of science, technology and statistics for making new discoveries and effective problem solving. He will also introduce recent progress on establishing a new Geospatial Science and Technology Center at Texas A&M University, where scientists, engineers and statisticians can collaborate to address grand-challenge scientific and societal problems.
